When Hober created these mouseboards, the idea was to warm the computer desktop with accessories made of natural, healthy materials. What really happened was much better. The better mouse board!
Let's face it. You are constantly touching your mousepad. Those shiny plastic squishy pads that we commonly use can begin to feel like the clammy butt of a bicycle messenger in the heat of a work day.
These mouse boards are used by professionals in some of the most influential studios. Once you've tried it, you can never go back.
Anticipated Features:
- The 100% Hemp cover smells nice, feels great, and looks fabulous.
- Since the board is stiff, it is meant to work well on a cluttered desk, or even hanging over the edge of the surface, where normal mouspads may bend and become unusable.
- The Hemp surface has excellent traction, and enhances precision pointing.
Un-anticipated Features:
- The surface absorbs natural hand oils, instead of the greasy build-up from conventional pads. A good scrubbing in the kitchen sink with some warm water about once a month will keep the pad clean and everything rollin' right.
- Coffee spills are absorbed by the cloth - sometimes before the sticky beverage fouls the mouse workings.
- The hemp fibre is very long, and cannot pull loose. Our anecdotal testing has shown absolutely no fibre buildup inside the mouse - in fact, the mouse ball looks clean and fresh after years of constant use due to the scrubbing action of the fibre. Slipping or skipping mice will often begin to work properly after a week or two rolling on the Hober mouse board.
These boards are hand made in the USA of luaun plywood dipped in linseed oil for sealing and fragrance. The cloth covers are hand sewn in the USA, of the 12 oz. Chinese Hemp cloth which is favored for it's softness and incredible durability.
