Big Blow and the Bushwackers are just your typical tuba, didjiridu, mandolin, accordion, trumpet band backed up with strong percussion to make you shake your can and sing along with. The group originally formed ten years ago with the purpose of exploring the various sound possibilities of the Australian instrument, the didjiridu (pronounced di-ju-re-doo). Since then the group has been influenced by celtic ballads, roots blues, mutated polkas, world jams and satirical originals.

You will also hear songs from Big Blow's albums: Off Kilter, Habagoola. The recording is chock full of the various styles from an Irish jig to an original polka to a roots blues song by Blind Willie Johnson.
